Notes: The susceptibility of 18 hazelnut cultivars to P. corni was determined in a field experiment conducted in Poland during 2000-02. Alongside this, the efficacy of Promanal 60 EC, applied at 2 litres/100 litres water during the early spring in controlling the pest was determined. Nottingham recorded the lowest, whereas Negrett recorded the highest number of P. corni larvae (22.2 and 153.9, respectively). Early spring application of Promanal 60 EC reduced the number of P. corni by 80%.
