Notes: [Conference held August 17-25, 1956 in Montreal, Canada] During recent years efforts have been intensified in the German Federal Republic to use biological control methods in combating pest insects of cultivated plants. One project of this type is mass-rearing of Prospaltella perniciosi to control the San José scale (Quadraspidiotus perniciosus). This review gives examples of the current work and first results.
