Notes: The fungus-insect gall formed by Phlebopus portentosus and scale insects is the key link of the nutritional mechanism of the mushroom. In this study a large number of field investigations were conducted on the ecology and biology of the fungus-insect gall in 16 locations of its producing areas in Yunnan,Sichuan and Guangxi.
