The insect pests and mites associated with infested roots, stems, leaves, infloresecence and dates [Phoenix dactylifera] of date palm trees in the Al-Dakhliya region in Oman were surveyed from January 1994 to December 1996. Insect pests recorded included Aonidiella orientalis, Fiorinia linderae, Maconellicoccus hirsutus, Parlatoria blanchardii and Phoenicococcus marlatii.
