El-Haidari, H.S.A., Aziz, F.I., & Wahab, W.A. 1978 Activity of predators and parasites of the mealybug, Nipaecoccus vastator (Maskell) in Iraq.. Yearbook of Plant Protection Research (Iraq Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform) 1: Ar41-46.
Notes: Nipaecoccus vastator (Mask.) is considered to be one of the most serious pests in Iraq, where it attacks various economic plants especially citrus, mulberry and Ziziphus spp. During studies undertaken in the Baghdad district in 1975 on the feasibility of control by means of natural enemies, it was found that peaks of activity by predators and parasites of the mealybug occurred between 15 May and 15 June for Exochomus nigripennis (Erichs.), Dicrodiplosis sp., Anagyrus pseudococci (Gir.) and Marietta picta (Andre), and in September-October for Nephus bipunctatus (Kug.), Chrysopa sp., Dicrodiplosis sp., A. pseudococci and M. picta.
