Notes: Unaspis citri is a serious pest widely distributed on citrus throughout the main citrus-growing areas of the world. It is often detected on consignments of citrus fruits in international trade. It has been reported to attack plants of 12 different genera belonging to 9 families, but it seems to prefer Rutaceae. Other hosts include: Annona muricata, Musa paradisiaca, Cocos nucifera, Psidium guajava, Ananas comosus, Artocarpus heterophyllus and Tillandsia usneoides. The origin of U. citri is in South-East Asia and it is now present in Australia, North, Central and South America, Pacific Islands, Egypt, Syria and China.
