Cressman, A.W. 1957 Light oil with parathion or malathion for control of black scale on oranges.. Journal of Economic Entomology 50(5): 593-595.
Notes: Saissetia oleae has decreased in importance as a citrus pest since the parasite Aphycus helvolus (Compere) was introduced into California in 1937, but infestations still become serious at times. Sprays of light oil plus parathion or malathion were compared to light medium oil alone and with malathion for control. Observations of the effects were also made on citrus red mite and Aonidiella aurantii.
