Notes: During winter in Auckland, the grapehouse mealybug, Pseudococcus maritimus Ehr. is not in a resting condition on grapevines under glass. Fumigation with hydrocyanic acid gas close to bud-burst period resulted in control of mealybug but caused severe damage. A modified chemical treatment is recommended.
