  • Notes: The aim of this research is to contribute to the understanding of the biological aspects of S. asper (Hemiptera: Stigmacoccidae) associated with the oak forest corridor, Q. humboldtii, in the department of Boyacá, Colombia. By studying an experimental population under controlled conditions, this research will document population parameters and describe the life cycle of this scale insect, identifying stages of higher susceptibility and proliferation. The goal is to support responsible honeydew utilization and promote effective beekeeping practices that foster the conservation of High-Andean forest ecosystems.
