Notes: Notes are given on the biology, injuriousness and control of the principal pests of peach in Italy. The pests include the tortricid Cydia molesta, the gelechiid Anarsia lineatella, the diaspidid Pseudaulacaspis pentagona, the aphids Myzus persicae and Hyalopterus amygdali, the thrips Taeniothrips meridionalis and Thrips major, the tephritid Ceratitis capitata, the tetranychids Panonychus ulmi and Tetranychus urticae and the scolytid Scolytus rugolosus. A table is presented which lists the insecticides and acaricides registered for use on peach, and gives details of their spectrum of activity, waiting period and toxicological class.
