Notes: Scythia Kiritchenko (1938) is preoccupied by Scythia Tschernyschew (1925), a genus of the Class Ostracoda (Arthropoda: Ostracoda incertae sedis). According to ISZN (1999) Article 52. Principle of Homonymy: “the use of the same name for different taxa must not occur and is prohibited”. Moreover “When two or more names are homonyms, only the senior, as determined by the Principle of Priority (see Article 52.3), may be used as a valid name” (ISZN,1999). Thus, the genus Scythia Kiritchenko , 1938 is a junior homonym of the genus Scythia Tschernyschew, 1925.
