  • Notes: This study presents a method that combines RPA and CRISPR/Cas12a with fluorescence and lateral flow technologies to differentiate P. marginatus from 10 other mealybugs. This RPA-CRISPR/Cas12a assay has the potential to detect P. marginatus with high accuracy in less than 1 h without the need for any experimental equipment. This provides a simple and convenient method that can be deployed in the field for detecting P. marginatus.
