Notes: P. oleae is the major pest of the Kurle fragrant pear in Xinjiang, China, where it appears to be a local dominant species of Diaspididae. This pest heavily attacks the branches, leaves and fruits of its host. It produces 2 generations per year and overwinters as impregnated female adults. The middle of May is the crucial period for the control of this pest on Kurle.
