Chen, Z.A. 1988 [Some epidemiological characteristics of entomogenous fungi Aschersonia duplex Berk. and its application.] . Acta Phytophylacica Sinica 15 (4): 235-239.

Notes: The epidemiology of Aschersonia duplex, a highly pathogenic fungus infecting the coccid Metaceronema japonica, was investigated in China. Natural infection by the pathogen reached 90% during outbreaks of the pest. The fungus was dispersed mainly by rains and insects. Application of a suspension of the fungus to a 2-ha forest in mid-February to mid-March resulted in an infection rate of 90-100%. The optimum dose was 4.5 X 106 spores/ml.
