Notes: In 2005 an ensign scale (family: Ortheziidae) was seen to have a high population in some sugar cane fields in Morelos state, Mexico. This insect was identified as Pralengorthezia acapulcoa (Morrison), which has not been reported as a pest before this time. Data of their life history are presented.
