  • Notes: These results suggest that Cryptolaemus montrouzieri has the potential to suppress D. opuntiae populations to an acceptable level and reduce the damage caused by this cochineal. The authors also conclude that D-limonene is a promising biopesticide which can be used to control D. opuntiae as a part of an integrated pest management program in Morocco. However, more attention should be given to phytotoxicity damage observed when higher doses of limonene are sprayed on cactus.
