Notes: Abstract: Thirteen chemical treatments were evaluated for control of over-wintering latania scale (Hemiberlesia lataniae by spraying kiwifruit vines in August 1988 and October 1989; Methidathion, chlorpyrifos, etrimfos and diazinon gave 79-96% control; lime sulphur, azinphos-methyl and phosmet gave 0-50% control; pirimiphos-methyl/permethrin, half rates of diazinon, and cyanamide gave intermediate levels of control (65-71%).
