Notes: [Original title: Sur l'evolution des populations de Lepidosaphes beckii Newm. en presence de son parasite specifique, Aphytis lepidosaphes Comp.] Surveys in an experimental orange grove in Corsica (France) in which Aphytis lepidosaphes Comp. was first released in 1973 for the control of Lepidosaphes beckii (Newm.) showed that a stable but fragile balance had become established between the parasite and its host. Seasonal fluctuations in the number of scale insects per leaf were small, but fluctuations in the populations on the fruits were large. The fruits suffered heavy infestation when, as in 1982, the parasite was scarce.
