Notes: Results of poor chemical control of T. vitis observed in experiments in 1998 in a small vineyard at Trinitapoli, Italy, were attributed to adverse climatic conditions (high rainfall and humidity). Results of experiments in 1999 indicated that spring treatment with microencapsulated chlorpyrifos (25%) and a mixture of 40% malathion + white oil significantly decreased pest incidence.
