Notes: The pseudococcids Planococcus citri and P. vitis [P. ficus] were collected from their respective hosts, Citrus and grapes, and reared on potatoes under laboratory conditions. The adult females were subsequently biochemically analysed. Protein levels were lower in P. ficus than in P. citri, and amino acid composition and RNA levels were different, but DNA and the nitrogen bases were not significantly different.
