Argyriou, L.C. 1979a The present status of integrated control of citrus pests in Greece.. Proceedings: Internationales Symposium der IOBC/WPRS über Integrierten Pflanzenschutz in der Landund Forstwirtschaft. OILB/SROP Wien 648 pp.

Notes: Description of an accidentally developed integrated control program of citrus pests in Greece. Studies have concentrated on the key pests, scales and mites, and on alternative control. The introduction and establishment of Aphytis melinus, parasite of the main citrus pest Aonidiella aurantii, and of Aphytis lepidosaphes, parasite of Lepidosaphes beckii, reduced considerably the use of insecticides. Other pest species listed include Aspidiotus nerii, Chrysomphalus aonidum, C. dictyospermi, Coccus hesperidum, C. pseudomagnoliarum, Ceroplastes floridensis, C. rusci, Parlatoria ziziphi, Icerya purchasi, Planococcus citri, Pseudococcus adonidum and Pulvinaria floccifera.
