Annecke, D.P., & Prinsloo, G.L. 1976a A new species of Allotropa Foerster (Hymenoptera: Platygasteridae) parasitic in the citrus mealybug, Planococcus citri (Risso) (Homoptera: Pseudococcidae), in South Africa.. Journal of the Entomological Society of Southern Africa 40(1): 105-108.

Notes: Allotropa kamburovi sp. n. is described from adults of both sexes that emerged in the laboratory from Planococcus citri (Risso) derived from citrus in the western Transvaal, South Africa, in February 1976. Laboratory observations indicated that A. kamburovi is solitarily endoparasitic in first- and second-instar hosts, with some examples emerging from third-instar hosts. Adult females of P. citri are not attacked.
