Notes: Experiments verified that P. saccharifolii is an insect vector of sugarcane spike-disease. Effects made to transmit the spike-disease through the injection of the diseased coccids extract into healthy plants proved a failure. P. saccharifolii is not a toxigenic insect of the spike-disease.
