Notes: Essai de lutte biologique sur olivier en Crète par utilisation d'Aphytis melinus parasite d'Aspidiotus nerii. [Biological control of Aspidiotus nerii Bouché (Hom. Diaspididae) on olives in Crete by use of the parasite, Aphytis melinus De Bach]. During a two year period the density of the scale population was reduced 495 times through the action of the introduced parasite. The activity of A. melinus issupplementary to the one of the indigenous A. chilensis. The imported species is better adapted to dry conditions than the indigenous one, therefore it is more abundant in dry areas and in autumn.
