Notes: Abstract: Density of living insects of A. nerii was 1.7 times higher in the areas sprayed by air than in those sprayed by ground ones; indigenous ectoparasite A. chilensis has a high natural mortality ranging from 45% to 90% and is higher during late summer due to dry and hot weather; in the areas sprayed by ground 2.8 times more scales were destroyed by predators, of which the most important is C. bipustulatus.
