  • Notes: Zinc oxyhydroxide–chili pepper nanobiohybrids were synthesized using a green process. The nanobiohybrids (NBIOHs) obtained were characterized using thermal analysis, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and IR, Raman, UV–Vis absorption, diffuse reflectance (DR), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) and X-ray photoelectron (XPS) spectroscopies, and electron microscopy. The functionality as a pesticide of the nanobiohybrid obtained was determined, in concentrations of 300, 1000 and 3000 ppm, applying it to a population of scale insects (Puto barberi). https://doi.org/10.1016/j.mseb.2025.118086
