Remarks
- Systematics: Unaspis menglunensis is very similar to U. yanonensis, but differs in having characterstates of U. yanonensis are given in brackets): (i) median lobes reduced, replaced by two subuliform protrusions (median lobes well developed); (ii) anterior spiracles each associated with a dense cluster of 28‒33 parastigmatic pores (12‒15 pores); and each posterior spiracle associated with 13‒18 parastigmatic pores (0‒6 pores). - Structure: Slide mounted body elongate, widest at metathorax; segmentation obvious between prothorax and mesothorax, and between mesothorax and metathorax. - Economic Importance: Unaspis menglunensis is primarily a pest in urban areas of China. Its host plant, Murraya paniculata, grows all over Yunnan, Guizhou, Hunan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian, Hainan, Taiwan and other tropical and subtropical regions of Asia.
