- Systematics: Subfamily DIASPIDINAE Tribe DIASPIDINI Subtribe FIORINIINA (Normark, et al., 2019)
Tsimbazaspis comes close to Angulaspis and Inchoaspis from which it differs in having a group of pores between the bases of the median lobes and in the sclerotization surrounding the orifices of the marginal ducts of the 6th and 7th segments (Mamet, 1962).
- Structure: Tsimbazaspis is referable to the subfamily Diaspidinae in having two-barred ducts with gland spines and bilobulate 2nd pygidial lobes. Adult female elongate. Pygidium with 3 pairs of lobes; median lobes non-zygotic, set far apart from each other, without gland spines between them (Mamet, 1962).
