Systematics: The records of T. sallei on Erythrina spp. may well be a misidentification of T. erythrinae, a common pest species of Erythrina spp. (Kondo & González, 2018)
Structure: The adult female is a very large soft scale insect, 2.0 cm long, 1.5 cm wide and 0.5 cm tall, rugose on the sides; brownish with some pale shading. (Kondo and Williams 2003)
