- Systematics: Subfamily DIASPIDINAE Tribe LEPIDOSAPHIDINI (Normark, et al., 2019)
Lindinger (1957) erroneously considered Pseudodiaspis to be a senior synonym of Situlaspis.
- Biology: Situlaspis is a genus that seems to be characteristic of the desert regions of the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico (Ferris, 1941d).
