- Systematics: Subfamily DIASPIDINAE Tribe DIASPIDINI Subtribe FIORINIINA (Normark, et al., 2019)
Sclopetaspis seems to be an isolated genus, probably having no particular relation with the other genera referred by Borchsenius (1966) to the Sclopetaspidina and also with his Augulaspidina (Takagi, 1992b).
