Remarks
- Systematics: Pseudococcus chaquensis is easily differentiated from other species that have ducts with an oral collar on the back. It differs from P. dumetum by having 1) multilocular pores prior to the buccal apparatus (P. dumetum does not.); 2) numerous ducts with oral rims in cephalothorax and first abdominal segment (P. dumetum has these on the cephalothorax and all abdominal segments of the back); and 3) translucent pores in the tibia only (. dumetum on the femur and tibia). It differs from P. acirculus because it has 1) a circulus (P. acirculus does not); 2) multilocular pores on cephalothorax (P. acirculus lacks them); and 3) translucent pores on the tibia (P. acirculus on the femur and tibia)..
- Structure: Translucent pores in posterior tibia; eyes with 0-1 discoidal pores; Numerous tubular ducts with oral collars along the margin of the dorsum; tubular ducts with oral rims in the cephalothorax, first segment of the abdomen and midline of abdominal segments IV and V. Venter with numerous multilocular pores on the abdomen, thorax and mid cephalic area; Tubular ducts with oral rims on the metathorax and segment I of the abdomen; tubular ducts in two sizes with the largest on the margin.
