- Orthezia chisosi Morrison 1952: 19-20. Type data: UNITED STATES: Texas, Chisos Mountains, on unidentified Gramineae, ?/?/1921, by G.F. Ferris. Holotype, female, by original designation Type depository: Davis: The Bohart Museum of Entomology, University of California, California, USA; accepted valid name Notes: Morrison (1952) states that the holotype and paratypes were returned to the collection of G.F. Ferris at Stanford University. This collection has since been incorporated into UCDC (Miller et al., 1973). Six paratype slides are in the USNM.
