Remarks

• Systematics: Subfamily DIASPIDINAE Tribe LEPIDOSAPHIDINI (Normark, et al., 2019) Paraparlagena is near Parlagena McKenzie from which it differs by the elongate body of the female and the arrangement of the dorsal microducts in segmental rows (Mamet, 1959a). Takagi (2003a) stated that the "adult female" described and illustrated represented the second instar male of some diaspidid, of which the adult female may have been unknown.
