• Orthezia grandis Hempel 1920a: 340-341. Type data: BRAZIL: Sao Paulo, Cantareira, on Taquarussu (= Guadua distorta?), ?/05/1912, by Ihering & Luederwaldt. Holotype, female, by original designation accepted valid name Notes: Hempel (1920a) states that the type is in the collection at Museu Paulista. Syntypes at USNM.
