Remarks
- Systematics: The adult female of N. multipori is similar to N. endroedyi and N. susannae by having 6-segmented antennae, presence of subapical seta and quadrilocular pores forming groups between lateral and mid-dorsal clusters. It differs from N. endroedyi by having: (i) ovisac band not divided in middle (vs. ovisac band divided in middle); (ii) lateral and posterior portion of ovisac band with clusters C1–C3 contiguous (vs. ovisac band with each lateral clusters divided); (iii) quadrilocular pores forming almost circular groups between lateral and mid-dorsal clusters (vs. quadrilocular pores forming groups but not circle and far less). This species differs from N. susannae in having: (i) thoracic spiracles each with 15–22 quadrilocular pores (vs. with 7 quadrilocular pores); (ii) dorsal and marginal clusters 7bl, 7cl, 7dl and 7el fused (vs. only clusters 7bl, 7cl and 7dl fused); (iii) large quadrilocular pores forming almost circular groups between lateral and mid-dorsal clusters (vs. quadrilocular pores forming groups but not circle and far less). (Zheng, et al., 2023)
- Structure: Body covered by white wax plates dorsally. Plates on mid-dorsum protrude forwards; those on margin protrude outwards; marginal plates on abdomen longer and forming ovisac. Venter covered by white mealy wax. Exposed body (with wax plates removed) oval, yellow in color, eyestalk black at base. Live adult male slender; fore wings oval; legs slender and well developed; antennae and wings longer than body. Body yellowish; compound eyes black; fore wings greyish white. Mealy and cottony wax products more-or-less cover the body; with wax filaments protruding from the abdomen.(Zheng, et al., 2023)
