Remarks
- Systematics: This species is similar to N. minima and N. floccosa by having 6-segmented antennae, subapical seta presence and ovisac band not divided in middle. It differs from N. minima by having: (i) only mid-dorsal cluster 5 divided medially (vs. clusters 7bm, 7cm, 7dm and 7em divided medially); (ii) ilateral and posterior portion of ovisac band with clusters C1–C2 contiguous (vs. with clusters C1–C3 contiguous); (iii) abdomen spiracles each with 4–5 quadrilocular pores (vs. each with 2–3 quadrilocular pores). It differs from N. floccosa by having: (i) thoracic spiracles each with 0–4 quadrilocular pores (vs. each with about 12 quadrilocular pores); (ii) only mid-dorsal cluster 5 divided medially (vs. clusters 3, 5, 6, 7am, 7bm, 7cm and 7dm divided medially); (iii) antennae with long and spinelike setae, legs with long and short spine-like setae (vs. antennae and legs with short and spine-like setae); (iv) lateral and posterior portion of ovisac band with clusters C1–C2 contiguous (vs. with clusters C1–C3 contiguous). (Zheng, et al. 2023)
- Structure: Body covered by white wax plates dorsally. Plates on mid-dorsum protrude forwards; those on margin protrude outwards; the marginal plates on abdomen longer and forming ovisac. Margin of wax plates flocculent. Exposed body (with wax plates removed) oval, yellowish, eye stalk base black. (Zheng, et al. 2023)
