Remarks
- Systematics: Newsteadia africana is similar to N. biracemus, N. scissa, N. southafricensis, and N. wacri (Miller & Kozár, 2002).
- Structure: Antennae 7 segmented; with 6-8 hair-like setae on segment I; 4 hair-like setae on segment II; without setae on segment III, IV, V, and VI; 6 hair-like setae present on apical segment. (Kaydan, et al., 2016) Newsteadia africana has 6 setae on antennal segment 7 and band clusters C5 and C6 are contiguous (Miller & Kozár, 2002).
