Remarks
- Systematics: Subfamily DIASPIDINAE Tribe LEPIDOSAPHIDINI (Normark, et al., 2019)
Borchsenius (1959b) states this genus is close to Lepidosaphes and Andaspis, but is separated from both by the acute pygidium terminating in two pairs of fused or closely set lobes. Ferris (1955b) synonymized Neopinnaspis with Africaspis but McKenzie (1956) did not accept the synonymy and considered both genera distinct.
- General Remarks: Detailed description and illustration by McKenzie (1949), redescription by Takagi (1970).
