Keys
Remarks
- Systematics: This species usually bears small triangular processes or spurs on the pygidial margin. In having this character it may be closely allied to Myrtaspis marginalis, from which it is easily distinguishable in having fewer marginal gland spines on the fourth and fifth abdominal segments. (Takagi, 2020)
- Structure: Adult female. Median trullae in ‘normal form’ (see Remarks) larger or longer than mesal lobules of second and third trullae, sunken into apex of pygidium basally, divergent, with a pair of small basal sclerites, which are set close together or separated from each other and connected by a sclerotized band of derm. (Takagi, 2020)
- General Remarks: Detailed description and illustration in Takagi, 2020.
