Remarks
- Systematics: Morrison (1928) characterized the adult female of this genus by: labium short, indistinctly two-segmented; seven pairs of abdominal spiracles; with numerous ventral cicatrices disposed in transverse rows across abdominal segments anterior to vulva.
Gavrilov-Zimin, 2018, resurrected the tribe Monophlebulini within the family Margarodidae to place the genus Monophlebulus in relation to other genera that he felt belonged in a subfamily of Monophlebinae (Gullania, Insulococcus, Melaleucococcus, Modicicoccus, Monophlebidus, Nodulicoccus, Peengea, Perissopneumon and Tessarobelus)
