• Systematics: Subfamily DIASPIDINAE Tribe LEPIDOSAPHIDINI (Normark, et al., 2019) The extraordinary modification of the marginal pygidial macroducts is something that occurs in no other species of Diaspididae, although in other respects the type species of this genus is quite an ordinary member of the Diaspidini (Ferris, 1941d).
