Remarks
- Systematics: This new species has many pores in transverse rows on the underside of the abdominal segments, which differentiates it from the other known species of Micrococcus. Micrococcus baeticae resembles M. confusus Miller & Williams, described from Morocco and Algeria in possessing a similar distribution of parastigmatic pores on the later margins of the thorax. It differs in possessing similar pores across the ventral abdominal segments and this charcter also separates M. baeticae from all other species so far described.
