Megacanthaspis guiyangensis resembles M. hangzhouensis (Wei & Feng, 2012) in body outline, absence of gland tubercles and with 1 microduct on each of the marginal gland spines. The important differences between the pygidia are (character states of M. hangzhouensis in parentheses): Marginal processes present (absent), 1 pair of gland spines on abdominal segment VII (2 pair of glad spines), and 23-50 dorsal macroducts on each side of the abdomen (about 17 dorsal macroducts).
- Structure: Adult female nody outline oblong fusiform, with indistinct segmentation. Each antenna with a long seta and a tubercle. Anterior and posterior spiracles without disc pores. (Niu & Feng, 2019a)
