Remarks
- Systematics: Phylogenetic analysis by Powell et al. (2024) using morphology demonstrates that the four species previously placed in the family Carayonemidae form a monophyletic group that should be placed within the Ortheziidae as the subfamily Carayoneminae.
- General Remarks: Description and illustration of the adult female given by Kozar & Konczne Benedicty (2000a).
