Remarks
- Systematics: Lepidosaphes similis is virtually identical to L. laterochitinosa, but differs in type of minute ornamentation on anterior part of head (Beardsley, 1975). In 2003a, Takagi states that "such processes are not always stable: even in the same colonies they may be present or absent and, when present, variable in development.
