Nomenclatural History

• Lecanium orbiculare Targioni Tozzetti 1868: 39. nomen nudum that is unplaced Notes: This is a nomen nudum because Targioni Tozzetti (1868: 39) noted only "ex. coll. mus. Paris (Owest, cap des Mines, Australia)" without any description. Signoret (1877: 621) suggested that it might be the same as Lecanium australe Walker, 1852. Fernald (1903b: 328) listed it as identical with Lecanium australe Walker, 1852.
