Remarks

• Systematics: Subfamily DIASPIDINAE Tribe LEPIDOSAPHIDINI (Normark, et al., 2019) Galeomytilus is similar to Mercetaspis, but the resemblance is due to loss or reduction (concerning the development of lobes and the number of marginal macroducts) and therefore, may be superficial (Takagi, 1995a).
