Remarks
- Systematics: This species can be distinguished from D. kaiensis by tubular ducts of two sizes and the presence of bigger tubular ducts on the margin of the dorsum. This species was transferred to Paraputo, as P. bambusus (Wu), by Danzig & Gavrilov-Zimin (2015) because it has an anal ring with six setae. However, the number of anal ring setae is not a robust genus-level character, especially as the number of setae can vary between the two sides of the anal ring. As it has an anal lobe bar on each anal lobe, this species was restored to Formicococcus by Zhang & Wu (2022)
- Structure: Adult female yellowish-white in life. Body of adult female on slide elongate oval, sides almost parallel, about 2.4–2.9 mm long and 0.8–1.05 mm wide. (Li, et al., 2014)
- General Remarks: Good descriptions and illustrations of the adult females were given by Wu (2001b) and Li et al. (2014).
