Remarks
- Systematics: Based on the description and illustration of Dysmicoccus indocalamus, Danzig & Gavrilov-Zimin (2015) determined that it was similar to Paraputo pauper, but differs in a smaller number of conical setae in C18 (2 instead of 3-4), in the absence of translucent pores on the hind legs, and in the presence of a circulus. San-An Wu stated that this species is similar to D. wistariae in having (1) one circulus, (2) few multilocular pores and oral collar ducts and (3) most cerarii with more than 2 conical setae apat from the anal lobe ceerarii each of which as 2 conical setae; it differs from teh latter species in having the last 7 pair of cerarii on sclerotized platelets and the dorsal setae are hair-like, whereas D. wistariae has only the anal lobe cerarii on a sclerotized platelet and the dorsal setae are spine-like.
- Structure: Adult female in life oval, red, covered with white waxy powder, with 4 pairs of short wax filaments on the posterior part of body.
- General Remarks: Detailed description and illustration in Chinese in Wu, 2009, and in English in Li, Tsai & Wu, 2014.
